ISNTC Reviews QMS to Comply with ISO9001:2008 Requirements

ISNTC has been operating according to ISO9001:2000 International Standards since it earned renewal accreditation by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) on December 30, 2008.

The organization’s QMS documentation has undergone process reviews, revisions &
additions to correct not only internal audit findings but also infractions on the system seen on its day-to-day operations.

ISNTC Attends UPOU Seminar on Planning and Managing Distance Education

Last February 22, ISNTC, as represented by the Multimedia Development Center and the Research and Development Section, joins the UP Open University’s Seminar on Planning and Managing Distance Education. The seminar was part of the Open University’s 15th anniversary celebration.

The first 9 months of 2009 was indeed a challenging time for ISN-TC.  Increased numbers of trainees and applicants for assessments were administered since the addition of training equipment and training areas.

The main reason for the increase of activity was due to the increasing number of ships in the ISN fleet and sister companies. Another reason is the increased training demand due to changes of International Regulations and improvement in ship’s equipment, hardware and software. ISNTC has now a total of 74 computers for instructors and trainees.

ISNTC EARNS ISO9001:2000 RENEWAL CERTIFICATION FROM GERMANISCHER LLOYD

The Intership Navigation Training Center management convened in May 2008 to announce its intention of reorganization to cope with company’s growth and major changes in the Quality Management System (QMS).

The Managing Director decided that the training center’s QMS had to go through comprehensive revision in preparation for the ISO9001:200 Renewal Audit by the end of the year. Early in June 2008 a series of organization wide assemblies were held to reconstruct the center’s organizational chart and the four (4) required quality manuals.

Safety First

Safety is the utmost concern of every crew on board as well as employees of ASM-ISNTC. It has been the universal concern in maritime business and even in different sectors of the community.

Basic Fire Fighting

Nowadays, Fire Emergency Plan becomes the top concern of all. Fire can exists anytime, anywhere that might cause serious damage to an individual, shipment, and ship herself.
